CABPS Statement on Racism

The Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeon (CABPS) shares in the great sadness and the intolerable fact that racism, bigotry, and hatred remain pervasive and rampant. The repetitive and unjust acts of violence, oppression and racial inequality acted upon the Black community MUST stop. We must value diversity, equality and inclusiveness and dedicate our lives and the lives of our children to be educated about this injustice so that change will happen. We must identify, stand up and confront systemic racism with the greatest of conviction. Let us be strong, brave, and honest in doing what is right. BLACK LIVES MATTER!
