| Session Objectives: |
The session is designed for health care professionals with an interest in the medical and surgical management of morbid obesity. At the end of the session, the participants will be able to describe the range of medical and surgical options for weight loss along with the benefits, risks and complications of each; identify patients who are appropriate candidates for surgery for weight loss and discuss the standard of care in surgical management; describe innovative technologies that are available for weight loss; describe an appropriate team approach to managing the obese patient and key nutritional concepts. |
