Dr. Stephen Glazer is a board-certified specialist from the University of Toronto in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. In April 2010 he was appointed as the Medical Director for the Bariatric Surgical Program at Humber River Regional Hospital. He was instrumental in redeveloping their comprehensive bariatric surgical program. In that year, the bariatric surgical program was nominated as a Leading Practice by Accreditation Canada. In 2012 Dr. Glazer was appointed as the Director of the only hospital-based Medical Bariatric Program for the Greater Toronto Area, which has enjoyed great growth and development due to the significant contributions of its multidiscipline team members. Dr. Glazer's commitment to the Obesity Epidemic is further displayed by his participation in many committees through the Ontario Bariatric Network and the Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeons. He has a strong interest in program development, quality care initiatives, and physician education. He has personally been involved in direct patient care of over thousands of bariatric patients in the attempt to facilitate weight loss for improved overall health. His research interests include perioperative risk assessment and management as well as sleep apnea in the morbidly obese. He is also the president of the Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeons.

Rory Hornstein is a Canadian Registered Dietitian specializing in nutrition for sports, exercise, weight management, eating disorders, body image, food intolerances/allergies, immune system enhancement, and digestive disorders across the country.

Rory is highly sought after for her vast and specialized knowledge and experience. She is proud to be the Nutrition Consultant to the Glencoe Club, Group 23 Sports Medicine, Canada Western Summer Games, and Mount Royal University recreation services in Calgary. Rory is also the designated nutritional consultant at the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic, Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Calgary, through her private practice. She is a member of The College of Dietitians of Alberta, The College of Dietitians of Ontario, The College of Dietitians of British Columbia and has four years of experience as Co-Chair of DC's practice group of sports nutritionists (Sports Nutrition Network).

With over 12 years of experience as an AFLCA Certified Fitness and Pilates (MAT I/MAT II) instructor, her extensive health and wellness background makes for an impressive combination in the fields of nutrition and physical activity. Her goal is to educate by integrating her knowledge and skills in the fields of nutrition, fitness, and health promotion. Rory is a certified Bariatric dietitian empowering her clients to become "intuitive eaters" and reach their personal goals, one bite at a time. Rory uses a "non-dieting" approach to her practice, encouraging her clients to adopt an overall healthier lifestyle for achieving their goals. Rory is a specialist in the dietary management of IBS, using a Low FODMAP Diet. Her focus is on ways to safely and effectively implement a Low FODMAP diet in clinical practice. Rory has completed FODMAP training through Monash University in Australia.

Rory's deep commitment to her work and her extensive knowledge in her field stems from personal connection and first-hand experience. At the age of twelve, Rory was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. After many years of struggling to heal and manage her disease, Rory realized the power of using the diet in conjunction with traditional medicine to control her Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), rather than allowing it to control her. Nutrition became the link between feeling sick and feeling well. Rory has been in private practice for over fifteen years, specializing in nutrition and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and unfailingly committed to sharing her personal experience and infinite expertise with clients.

Veronica Kacinik is the Bariatric Surgery Program Registered Dietitian and co-founder of the Obesity Medicine and Diabetes Institute Medical Weight Management Program, a comprehensive program that combines medical care, medical nutrition therapy, food literacy, physical activity, and mental health care. Veronica has extensive training and experience in obesity management, working exclusively with people living with obesity for over 10 years. She provides individualized patient care while also creating and facilitating virtual group medical visits ranging from 15 to 175 patients, with a passion for improving their health and quality of life. In consideration of her patients' circumstances and needs, she provides help and support on nutrition, food planning and culinary skills, as well as guidance toward self-empowerment and well-being. In her spare time, she can be found in the mountains, hiking, biking or skiing.
