Dr. Aliyah Kanji is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of General Surgery at the University of Alberta. She completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Genetics at the University of Alberta, followed by medical education and residency training in General Surgery at the University of Toronto. She competed a 1 year fellowship in MIS & Bariatric Surgery at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She began her clinical practice in 2014 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta with a focus on primary and revisional Bariatric Surgery. She is currently the Site Lead for General Surgery at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Director of the Adult Bariatric Surgery Revision Clinic.
