Rob Trasolini is a Canadian Gastroenterologist who grew up in Vancouver and completed his Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine training at the University of British Columbia. He is currently located in Boston, Massachusetts where he is completing a fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at The Center for Advanced Endoscopy at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. He has an interest in bridging the gap between traditional surgery and endoscopy and thinks endoscopic therapies will play a prominent role in treating obesity and metabolic disease for those patients unable or unwilling to undergo bariatric surgery. He is an incoming fellow in Bariatric Endoscopy and Foregut Endosurgery at The Endoscopy Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.


Presentation Overview:

Review recent major advances in durable endoscopic procedures for obesity and metabolic syndrome. Review photo and video material of some of the most well established procedures. Review learning curve and limitations of current endoscopic treatments for obesity.
