Dr. Sanjeev Sockalingam, MD, FRCPCDirector, Toronto Western Hospital Bariatric Surgery Psychosocial Program Dr. Sanjeev Sockalingam is the Director of the Bariatric Surgery Psychosocial Program at the Toronto Western Hospital. He is a staff psychiatrist in the Medical and Surgical Psychiatry Program at the University Health Network (UHN) and an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Sockalingam has over 40 peer-reviewed publications including several publications in the psychosocial domains of bariatric surgery. His current research interests include examination of psychosocial predictors of outcomes and adherence post-bariatric surgery and the efficacy of psychosocial interventions on post-surgery outcomes.

Ms. Mary DunnEducator, BScN, CMSN(C) Mary Dunn graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has worked at St. Joseph's Healthcare in a number of positions including Staff Nurse, Nurse Manager, Project Manager Nursing Workload and Nurse Educator. She completed her Canadian Nurses Association certification in Medical-Surgery Nursing in 2012. Mary is currently a Nurse Educator in the General Surgical Program and Bariatric Program. She has been involved in the inception of the Bariatric program since 2006 and has played a key role in the ongoing development of the program.

Ms. Michelle MountainMichelle is a registered dietitan with a passion for nutrition and its vital role in bariatric surgery. Michelle is originally from New Brunswick. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in pyschology from Mount Allison University. After completing this degree she moved to Nova Scotia to pursue her passion in nutrition. She received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Nutrition and Dietetic from Mount Saint Vincent university and completed her dietetic internship at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Miramichi Regional Hospital, Nova Scotia Dietetic Association and Atlantic Superstore. She has a strong interest in the psychosocial and environmental factors that influence individual's eating behaviors. In Michelle's current role, she serves as a clinic dietitian in the bariatric program at the Humber River Regional Hopsital. She has clinical experience working with patients both pre and post-bariatric surgery. Michelle has been actively involved in helping with the development and incorporation of many programs with the bariatric program.
