Dr. Leila Zahedi-Shoolami, MD

Leila Zahedi-Shoolami graduated from Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2005 as a general physician. Since her graduation, she had been actively participating as assistant physician, consultant and research manager in the Colorectal and Bariatric Surgery Departments.

She has extensive experience in designing the surgical related research proposals while analyzing the final data, editing, writing, reviewing and publishing numerous articles in international journals.

Her research interests include:

• Outcomes and complications in bariatric Surgeries
• Quality of life assessments in patients undergoing bariatric surgery
• Pregnancy outcomes after bariatric surgery in infertile obese women

She is currently the consultant and research manager of a private bariatric clinic in Tehran-Iran.
