I am a physician, epidemiologist and health services researcher, with expertise in clinical pharmacology, general internal medicine and clinical epidemiology. I specialize in the care of adult patients with complex, multisystem disease, including (but not limited to) hypertension and other chronic cardiovascular diseases. Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. I am the Director of the University of Alberta Hypertension Clinic and the Co-Chair of the Canadian Hypertension Education Program Recommendations Task Force. A large part of my research focuses on bariatric (obesity) care delivery in Canada
