At the end of this presentation, participants should be able to identify the role of the vagus nerve in appetite and satiety, the way how intermittent vagal blocking impacts weight loss and the behavior of comorbid conditions and will have the opportunity to see the results obtained with the Maestro System.

Dr. Miguel F. Herrera
Miguel Herrera graduated from the University of Veracruz in 1981. He is board certified in both, Internal Medicine and General Surgery. He is presently at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition in Mexico City where he is Professor of Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery as well as Associate Professor of General Surgery. He serves now as President of the American Association of Endocrine Surgery. Areas of interest include: Endocrine, Bariatric and Laparoscopic Surgery. |
